Kelechi Maduchukwu LCSW-C

I consider my self to be what I call a "Life Excavationist", always working to uncover what truths lie beneath the surface of our every day.  I chose the path of becoming a psychotherapist with a goal to help others uncover their truths.

In my professional experience I have worked with a wide range of individuals from all walks of life in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. In my work I provided a broad range of care to clients offering both group and individual psychotherapy services.

Over the years I began to specialize in the areas of adjustment, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, communication and major life transitions. Starting this practice presented the opportunity for me to truly focus on my strengths and the areas of mental health that I am most invested in.

My Philosophy

I believe strongly in the importance of gaining greater self awareness and its ability to transform lives by allowing individuals to gain a greater sense of control over self. Becoming self-aware is not only a process, but it is a skill. It's the ability to critically analyse yourself from a place of understanding that does not include judgment. I truly believe that my greatest gift in life is my ability to help others take this deeper look into themselves.

Through psychodynamic therapy we are able to create the connections required to gain a deeper understanding of why we are and not just who we are. Organized reflection of thoughts, feelings, emotions, characteristics, social dynamics and more. It is my belief that through this form of reflection you will find a sense of clarity strong enough to free you from the captivity of negative/unhealthy patterns that don't align with your true self.
